  • Moisturise

Find yourself a good moisturiser and invest time into your skin! It is so important to keep your skin hydrated but especially during the winter months.

  • Eyeshadow

Smokey browns and golds are my go to palettes for Christmas day, especially this fabulous palette from Younique!  I feel you can really use these to make any eye colour pop but still keeping it quite natural and low key. Remember to always do the eyes before the skin! That way if there is any fall down this can be cleaned before putting your base on.

  • Skin

Whether you prefer a flawless finish or a light base I think having a gorgeous base really makes the rest of your look stand out so make sure you try out a few foundations before hand to decide which one gives you best finish! Also adding an illuminator to your cheekbones will add radiance to your skin almost instantly!

  • Red Lips

Be it a matte lipstick or a gloss I think having a red lipstick in your festive makeup case is a MUST! I believe that this goes beautifully with an understated eye look for example a soft brown blended through the crease of the eye, black liquid liner with a pair of lashes, flawless finishing skin gives that sophisticated look that every lady wants to feel this time of year.

  • Glitter

It’s the festive season, who doesn’t love a bit of glitter? Whether it’s a sparkle on the lips, to a sliver touch across your cheek bones! It is the season to be jolly after all!  NXY Glitter are my favourite to use and they come in a huge range of colours!

  • Lovely Lashes

False eyelashes are perfect to really enhance the beauty of your eyes and for a special occasion. Make sure you have a few practices runs before hand and you can either get a clear glue or black glue which gives it more of a dramatic effect.  I love these lashes by Las Unlimited!

  • Setting Spray

Setting sprays are perfect to finish off your makeup look, you can either get these in a matte or a dewy spray depending on what finish you wanted. This wonderful product helps keep your makeup looking fresh throughout the day/ evening and holding it into place.

  • Classy Curls

My favourite has to be lose curls, you can create these with curling wands or straighteners and finish off using either a holding spray or sea salt spray.

  • Braids

One of my favourites is a french braid using all of your hair braid from the top down, then fix with an elastic clear band, starting from the band begin to roll the hair up towards the neck and tuck under with bobby pins. This timeless look can be created in just five minutes and is perfect for getting ready in between cooking the Christmas dinner!

  • Have Fun!

And finally for the most important tip of all…. Just enjoy yourself!  Nothing shows off beauty more than a lady who shows confidence in herself! Beauty really is all about enhancing your natural features.
